I first published an award winning short story in high school, then went on to practice marketing and engineering in the Los Angeles area. During those years I published numerous non-fiction magazine articles. Engineering how-to’s along with a list of PowerPoint presentations as long as both my arms. All the while, I was pecking away at a fantasy time-travel novel which finally published in 2011.
My poems have been published in the San Luis Obispo Tribune and that first indie novel, “The Maiden Voyage of the Maryann” won the Cygnus Awards 1st Place – Women’s Fantasy/SciFi Category in 2013.
I write mostly poetry, sci/fi/fantasy for young adults and kids. That doesn’t mean that a great story idea in another genre won’t excite me though. My interests are eclectic both in what I read and what I like to write.
I live in the hills of the central coast of California with my husband and our two active dogs.
